How about this creative name for a boy?

I love the name Ocean. I didn't name my last son that because my husband changed his mind about. This time especially if its a boy I am determined to name him that. What do you think of that creative name. My other boys have old testament names. I think that ocean could technically be biblical cause of all the stories of large water.





Any suggestions?

Ocean is actually a beautiful name it is completely different and if it has a special meaning to you then it makes no difference what no one says or thinks
Reply:I think that Ocean is a wonderfully creative name. It is also very original. The only problem is that there aren't a lot of nick names for it, but if you give him another middle name I'm sure that won't be a problem. If you just like the meaning "Ocean," many names have that meaning.Dillon, Kye, Moana, Oki, and Ponce are among them.

Reply:Ocean will (1) get confused for a girl and (2) have problems getting a job. Google "name bias studies" to see what I mean. It's wrong, but few hiring managers are going to give "Ocean" an interview. I'm not saying you must name him John or Michael, but at least go for something more masculine.

Ocean could work for a boy...just give him an "average" middle name to go with it, so he has something to switch to if he prefers.
