What do you think about the boy name Brogan?
It's different. Sounds a little like a last name (we have a Mary Brogan Museum in our town), and I am not too into the "last name for a first name" fad, but that's a matter of opinion. Overall it sounds fine.

If I were you, I'd think about names of relatives that mean a lot to you, your father perhaps or a grandfather (so that the name has significance). Or... you can choose a name that means something to you in your life... for example, my nephew has loved Star Wars all of his life and decided to name his son Lucas (after George Lucas). It may be silly but your son will appreciate a name with a story behind it that he can tell for years. Good luck!

As a writer, I love using unique names, and I have used this site to help me find suitable names for my characters. This site has many different names, for both male and female, has catagories, such as Irish or Mythological, and offers a search engine to look up names specifically by meaning, name, namesake, or popularity. I don't really have a suggestion on a name, since only you can choose your son's name. But I can offer you a website, behindthename.com. It has worked wonders for me. As a writer, I love using unique names, and I have used this site to help me find suitable names for my characters. This site has many different names, for both male and female, has catagories, such as Irish or Mythological, and offers a search engine to look up names specifically by meaning, name, namesake, or popularity. Second boy initials T. A. B.

There is a place called Wicken Fen in England and my niece's cousin thinks it would be a nice name for her baby. I don't know if she is planning to use Fen for the middle name.

Reply:I wouldn't name my dog that. Change the 'k' to a 'c' and you get an idea (still not the complete spelling) of why that would be one big-time misunderstood name. If my parents named me that, even if they gave the full "Wicken Fen" then the exact moment I was of legal age, I would be standing in line at the court house to change it, I would rather be called Fido or Rover than Wicken, even if I were a caster of spells I wouldn't want that name. Sorry.
