Reply:Well, I like Oscar myself, but I'm not sure if it has a Spanish origin. It would make your son's first 2 initials, XO, the same as the "hugs and kisses" abbreviation.





We're expecting another boy, and we've talked about naming him Oscar, but as a first name. Maybe I'll post my own question, "What is a good middle name for a baby boy with the name Oscar?"

You could do Xavier Guillermo or Xavier Guy -- the latter seems very cool.

Reply:Saint Francis Xavier was a saint from the Basque castle of Xavier. Xavier is a Basque name. I would have to go for Xavier Francis as well. It adds a litle history to the name.
