What do you guys think of Arion for boy name?

Thank you guys for your opinions about the name Aryan. I really like name Aryan for a boy , but as said the name Aryan refers to Nazi and other racial crap even though the real meaning of Aryan is noble. Anyways, I have chosen the name Arion now. It is Greek and it means melodious. It was also the name a Greek Poet. What do you people think of this name? I really appreciate your suggestion.

Reply:The kids aren't gonna care what Arion means. They just gonna think it sound like Aryan and call him names like, "Hey Naziboy, I heard Hitler was your dad." Kids can be mean. You name him that, your gonna give the kid a tough time growing up. If he keeps coming home from school with a black eye you only have yourself to blame.
Reply:If he's going to go about wearing a T shirt with "It's spelled ARION" then fine, but when people hear his name, they will assume he's the offspring of some neo-nazi idiot and he's going to spend his life explaining to people that it actually means melodious. I'm all for freedom of choice and all that, but do you want your child to constantly be apologising for your preferences?
Reply:I really wouldn't call a child that, personally. A child is going to get enough stick at school just for people normal, without adding what to me sounds like a girls name. Your child won't thank you for making them stand out more with an unusual name unless they grow up to be conceited.
Reply:don,t burden him with that he will have enough hassles to deal with while growing up without putting an obstacle in his way
Reply:It's too close to Aryan. People aren't going to appreciate the difference, and the kid is going to have a tough time at it. You'd be better off naming him Sue if you want him to grow up tough.
