Please tell me if you think Gage sounds like a dog or boys name?

My boyfriend is stuck on the name Gage if we have a boy (we won't know if it's a boy or girluntil baby arrives). When we tell people if it's a boy, we'll name him Gage, some people say that sounds like a dog's name (a tough dog's name) instead of a boy's name. What do you think?





If you have any suggestions for a good middle name, you can add that, too!

Reply:I like that name...a good friend of mine has a son named Gage. I think if you use Gage as a first name you should use something more "normal" for a middle name like Gage Robert or Gage Allen or Gage Patrick
Reply:I think of it as a name for a boy because I know a kid named gage. he plays baseball too. so I think thaat names fine and pretty easy to spell. not too many gages either
Reply:Well i only stumbled across this question because i typed in the search engine boys name gage and came up with this question, well i love it i want to call my son this as well i am pregnant at the moment and i love the name um my hubby hates it but o well i really like it got it from pet cemetery. if u want to be cheeky to him say to him that u will call him gage if you can have the middle name as Samuel and if he asks why tell him that gage means a pledge and that Samuel means before god so his name altogether would be a pledge before god it is funny, But seriously i really like it i think it is beautiful people don't like difference u know its because they haven't heard it much thats all they either like it or hate it u could ask 50 different ppl and half would say they like it and the other would say they don't so really its weather u both agree. anyway good luck i hope there will be another gage in the world as i am calling my son this too and i live in AUS they rekon its a US name well not for long U wait in about 2 years it will be as common as Daniel.

tongue easy. I have a 22 gague shotgun. That`s what it


reminds me of. I never heard that name given to a child or


a dog. I`m not sure if the kids will make fun of him when


he gets older. If I were to have a child I was gonna name


him Hunter. But I didn`t. It`s not a bad name but I don`t like it.


You have the right to name you child anything you want. But


before you do anything ,thing of your childs future.GOOD
